SCO Summit 2023

India chaired the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) virtual Summit. Leaders called for a “more representative” and multipolar world order. Iran joined as the Ninth Member Country. Theme: 'Towards a SECURE SCO’. The SCO now comprises China, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

Bharat 6G Alliance

Launched by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) to foster innovation and leadership in 6G technology. Involves public and private companies, academia, research institutions, and standards development organizations.

Objective: to understand business and societal needs of 6G technology, foster consensus, and drive high-impact research and development initiatives. Importance: help India take a lead role in the development and adoption of 6G technology.

Scheme to Support Pregnant Minor Victims of Sexual Assault

Unveiled by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India. Aimed at providing critical care and support to pregnant minor victims of sexual assault lacking family support. Outlay of Rs 74.10 crore, offering shelter, food, legal aid, and other necessary assistance across India.
